Defenders of Wildlife - Wolf Awareness Week

Defenders of Wildlife is a great place to get started learning about the wolf as part of the greater picture. Defenders sponsors events nationwide during National Wolf Awareness Week. National Wolf Awareness Week is a time to dispel misconceptions about wolves and to teach about the important role these predators play in maintaining healthy ecosystems. It takes place the 3rd week of October every year. National Wolf Awareness Week encourages conservation efforts not only for wolves, but for all wild species.

International Wolf Center

The International Wolf Center focuses on wolves and their place in, and relationship to, the rest of the wild world, including their prey species and competing carnivores such as bears and coyotes.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service - Gray wolves in the northern Rocky Mountains

The USFWS oversees wolves all over the United States. Its web site features current information on how many wolves can be found in our country, where they are, and what they are doing — including how they interact with humans, and what laws are being passed or considered concerning them.

Wolf Park is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of wolves in captivity and in the wild through behavioral research and education.
