Wild Valentines at Wolf Park

Saturday February 14, 2008
Open 1—5 pm, plus Howl Night at 7:30 pm

Come to Wolf Park Saturday February 14 for a WILD VALENTINES!!! Wolf Park will be open 1-5 pm, and the afternoon will be filled with unusual talks and activities not offered the rest of the year!

Since February is the time when wolves search for mates and then bond with them, we will have several fun talks about what people think the love life of a wolf might be like, as well as what their love lives really are like! Take your photo in our "Wild Valentines" cutout or just cuddle up to that special someone while our wolves sing your cares away.

For those who are tired of the cold and snow our resident naturalist will do a walk about the Park pointing out and explaining the Signs of Spring. We will also have programming that addresses "why save wolves?", and a fun demonstration of how all of nature is connected to everything else, from wolves to insects to dirt. We will be offering tours of the facility throughout the afternoon, and snacks and hot drinks will be available to visitors.

Then we invite visitors to return for a Wild Valentines Howl Night program! This will be at 7:30 pm, and will explore how wild wolf couples romance each other at this time of year. It is likely you will see the wolves themselves demonstrating some of this 'romantic' behavior– so don't forget your birds and bees talk with the kids before you arrive. Come out for a WILD time at Wolf Park!!

Normal admission: $5 for kids 6-13, $7 for people 14 and over, kids 5 and under and Wolf Park members free!!

Our next special event is our Easter Celebration coming up April 4!!
