to get you here!

Lafayette map
Map of Lafayette
To reach Wolf Park from Interstate 65, take the exit for Indiana State Road 43 North ( Brookston, West Lafayette exit #178). Go north on 43 a mile to State Road 225. Turn right (east) and go about 2 miles directly into Battle Ground. Drive straight through town, cross the railroad tracks and stay to the left. Drive one long block to Jefferson St. and turn left. Follow Jefferson St. about 1 1/2 miles until you come to a large sign on your right for Wolf Park. We are just 1/4 mile up the gravel drive. IF STATE RD 225 IS CLOSED GO NORTH TO 900 N, GO RIGHT ONE MILE, THEN RIGHT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE RAILROAD TRACKS. GO ABOUT ANOTHER MILE AND YOU WILL SEE THE WOLF PARK ENTRANCE ON YOUR LEFT.

To reach Wolf Park from SR25, take SR225 across the one lane bridge to Battle Ground and follow directions above to Wolf Park. IF STATE RD 225 IS CLOSED GO SOUTH ON 25 TO I65 AND FOLLOW THOSE DIRECTIONS.

We are now on Eastern time throughout the year! Yes, Indiana now has Daylight Savings time!

Right off I-65 North and State Road 43 North, West Lafayette, 765-567-7100, is the Econolodge Motel. Ask about a special room rate for Wolf Park visitors. Price limited to non-peak times. You must call and tell them you are visiting Wolf Park to get the discount rate.

Getting to Wolf Park From Chicago

It is not as easy to get here from Chicago as it is from Indianapolis, unless you fly into Purdue’s airport in West Lafayette. We encourage you to fly through Indianapolis if you cannot fly into Lafayette because it is much easier than travelling from Chicago.

Flying

Car Rental

It is about two and a half hours to drive from Chicago O’Hare to Wolf Park. It is not too difficult, and most of the trip is on interstate highways. Just take interstates south following signs for Indiana until you get to Interstate 80 east. Take this to Interstate 65 south, then follow directions.

Ace Rent-a-Car 1-800-323-3221, will rent you a car one-way between Chicago and Lafayette if you drop the car off within 24 hours.

Greyhound Bus

The bus comes here three times daily from Chicago and it’s a three hour trip. There are no reservations taken. The bus station is in downtown Chicago, so you have to get from the airport to downtown as well.

Amtrak Train

The train runs from Chicago to Lafayette and you need reservations for the train. Chicago’s train station is also downtown, so you have to get there from the airport as well.

Getting Downtown From O'Hare

To get to either the train or bus station you can take the Chicago Rapid Transit train. The train station is two blocks north, at Jackson Street. The bus station is one block south, to Harrison, and one block west. I have not done this, so feel free to ask people for directions at this point. You could probably get a taxi from the airport but it would be quite expensive.

THESE TIMES AND PRICES COULD CHANGE AT ANY TIME SO YOU SHOULD CALL AND CONFIRM BEFORE MAKING AIRLINE RESERVATIONS WHICH COULD LEAVE YOU STRANDED IN CHICAGO OVERNIGHT.
