   Eclipse Coming to Wolf Park?

A Surprise Arrival
Eclipse Visible at Wolf Park!

Eclipse was born at Wolf Park in 1997 to Karin and Orca. Along with her foster brother Atticus, Eclipse was sent to the Turtle Back Zoo, in West Orange, New Jersey, to be part of their display when she was three months old. Unfortunately, Eclipse is no longer compatible with the wolves at that facility and was in need of a new home. Wolf Park takes pride in the fact that pups born here always have a home here — so Eclipse has returned home on the evening of November 5, 2004.

When Wolf Park staff members, Dana and Amanda drove out to Pick up Eclipse, Dana took a few photos of her being loaded up in the van. To transport an adult wolf you need a sturdy and large crate.
Fortunately, we have one of those. Eclipse was sedated, loaded up and after a very long drive, came home to us on the evening of November 5.

Since that time, shy Eclipse has slowly opened up to meeting staff members. Although she is still very shy, we have taken a sponsors in to be in her presence. We are hoping that she will continue to open up to meeting folks so that her sponsors will actually get to have some quality Eclipse time.

Meanwhile, below are some photos that Monty has taken of Eclipse in her new home. She has lightened up with age, more like her father than her mother. She is quite the striking wolf.

...and people can adopt Eclipse online here
