This fun and educational program is designed for kids, but is a good time for people of all ages. Jungle John and Alligator Aaron, the men behind the high energy program called Silly Safaris, have years of experience doing programs with live animals. They teach all about the natural world in a fun and accessible way, using zany theatrical games and lots of playful interactions with audience volunteers.
Programs include some audience participation, and many if not all audience members will get a chance to actually handle some of the animals involved in this program. The animals used in Silly Safaris shows are trained and safe with humans. The animals in each show vary, but might include a mix of reptiles, birds, bugs and mammals. (If we are lucky, they will bring their skunk along!) Silly Safaris does programs for thousands of kids around the Midwest, often in schools and libraries. They are regulars at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum.
All of the regular Wolf Park activities will be offered, such as walking tours and handling demonstrations. The park is open 1-5 pm and Silly Safari is included with regular admission. (Adults $7, kids ages 6-13 $5, young kids and members free.)
